It’s time to shoot for Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass along with lots of panfish! Chris and Jacob have been out with quite a bit of success….nothing too large but definitely numerous!

Saltwater fly fishing is incredible right now if you can cast in the wind! The Redfish are hungry and easy to find.

Fishing has been great so far this season, and February is typically a great month as the water is cold, and the Christmas crowds are gone. Nymphing is the best bet, with the flies of choice being used with 5x or 6x tippet. Fish the bottom with split shot and an indicator, finding the deeper runs.

Stocking locations start right below Canyon Lake Dam and continue all the way down to the first crossing on River Road. While there are only two free public access points, there are numerous campgrounds along River Road that offer access for a small fee. Some of our favorites are:
