The professional guides at Gruene Outfitters offer beginning and experienced fly anglers the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful fly fishing available in the Texas Hill Country. Whether going after trout on the Guadalupe River or big small mouth bass on the San Marcos River, our guides work hard to make every trip a memorable one.
For beginner fly anglers, we offer expert instruction to help our clients develop their cast and learn key components of fly fishing, such as reading the water, choosing flies, and tying knots. Our experienced anglers will benefit tremendously from our guides’ skill and knowledge of the local waters.
Gruene Outfitters offers full and half day trips on our 14’ AIRE raft which is comfortable for up to 2 anglers. Our novice clients who just want to learn the basics of fly fishing will benefit from our 2 hour, on the water, casting/fly fishing class.
Trips include all the rods and tackle needed as well as lunch, snacks, and beverages.
Gruene Outfitters also offers Simms waders and boots for rental for client or individual daily use.
